Ademola Lookman Sends Warning To Nigeria U19s With Brace For Charlton In FA Cup
Published: November 05, 2016
England U20 international Ademola Lookman has literally sent a warning to the Nigerian U19 National Team ahead of Wednesday’s clash at the Continental Cup in South Korea.
The Charlton Athletic wonderkid of Nigerian descent fired off two goals as the Addicks beat League One team Scunthorpe United in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup at The Valley on Saturday.
Charlton were two goals up at the break courtesy of strikes from Lookman, who came off the bench in the 27th minute after Holmes suffered a knock, and Johnnie Jackson.
The English third-tier leaders believed they could mount a comeback when Hopper pulled a goal back six minutes out of intermission, only for Lookman to restore the two-goal cushion in the 83rd minute.
Aside from Lookman, Ovie Ejaria (Liverpool), Dominic Solanke (Chelsea), Fikayo Tomori (Chelsea) and Josh Onomah (Tottenham Hotspur) could be on parade against Nigeria at the Suwon World Cup Stadium, having made England U20s 24-man roster.
