Exclusive : FC Sheriff Tiraspol Ahead Of MLS, Polish Clubs In Race For Chuks Akabueze
Published: November 15, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria international Chuks Akabueze has bid farewell to Norwegian Tippeligaen side Odds Ballklubb after rejecting their offer of a new contract.
The winger was one of the most important players at Odds BK, with an impressive tally of 14 goals (14 assists) from 60 league appearances in his last two seasons at the Skagerak Arena, and they were keen to extend his stay but he said he’s not interested.
At the moment, Bentley is on the wishlist of clubs based in the United States and Poland, but Moldovan club FC Sheriff Tiraspol are believed to be in the driving seat for his signature, having firmed up their interest by offering him a contract.
The former Kwara United star put himself in the shop window when Odd faced off against FC Sheriff in the Europa League qualifiers last July.
Akabueze previously turned out for SK Brann and Chinese club Wuhan Zall.
