Three players of Nigerian descent Ovie Ejaria, Tiago Ilori and Sheyi Ojo helped Liverpool secure a 1-1 draw against West Brom in the Premier League Cup at Prenton Park on Tuesday night. <br /><br />Ojo, who will play for the Reds U23s for the time being after recovering from injury, provided an assist for the equalizer netted by Cameron Brannagan in the 73rd minute. <br /><br />The winger would have bagged the winner but saw his effort cleared off the line, and Ejaria also had a chance to register his name on the score-sheet but his effort was saved by the goalkeeper.<br /><br />The three English-born Nigerian players were rested as Liverpool U23s were held to a goalless draw by German side FC N&uuml;rnberg in a friendly staged at the Academy on Wednesday morning, having lasted the distance against the Baggies. <br /><br />Of the aforementioned players, only Ejaria has played for the first team of Liverpool in a competitive fixture this season.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : liverpoolfc.com<br />
