Free-Kick Specialist Igbinoba Joins United On Season-Long Loan Deal
Published: December 09, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Nigeria Professional Football League runner-up Rivers United have bolstered their ranks with the signing of Esosa Igbinoba, who last defended the colours of Nasarawa United.
The free-kick specialist has joined United on a season-long loan move from his grassroots club, meaning Nasarawa United will not be paid a single kobo for his transfer fee.
Rivers United are aware that Igbinoba is attracting interest from clubs based overseas, and have inserted a clause into the deal that stipulates that they will recoup all their investment in the player if he moves abroad.
It is understood that the attacking midfielder is on the radar of Swedish, Russian and Egyptian teams ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.
He will travel with Rivers United for pre-season training in Madrid.
