Nigeria Wonderkid Iheanacho Reaches Milestone Of 50th Appearance For Man City
Published: December 11, 2016
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho made his 50th appearance for Manchester City in their shock 4-2 loss to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.
The 20-year-old who replaced the suspended Sergio Aguero in the starting line-up failed to add to his nineteen goals tally for the Citizens across all competitions ,and subbed out in the 58th minute.
Against the Foxes, Iheanacho’s only real chance came from Jesus Navas’ cross which he failed to connect well with his head, and he fluffed his lines when sent through by shooting at Ron-Robert Zieler, only to be spared by the offside flag.
He was bullied by the returning Robert Huth and Wes Morgan and barely got a look in during a poor first half before he was replaced by Yaya Toure.
Kelechi Iheanacho, who won the Golden Ball at the 2013 Fifa U17s, made his competitive debut for City in their 2-0 win over Watford on August 29.
