Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria U23 international Erhun Obanor has been issued a work permit by the German authorities, paving the way for him to continue his career with SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
Before the important document was obtained last week, the defender could only train with his new employer and was ineligible to participate in official matches.
The former Mountain of Fire star will suit up with the number three jersey for the remainder of the 2016-2017 season.
Obanor has penned a three-year contract with SpVgg Greuther Fürth, with the player having the right to prolong the agreement for two more years on or before June 30, 2019.
