Will Messi And Mikel Be Teammates At Hebei China Fortune? Argentine Offered 500 Million Euros
Published: December 16, 2016
For the first time in their careers, Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi may be teammates if transfer speculation linking the duo with a move to the Chinese Super League is anything to go by.
This website previously reported that Hebei China Fortune are one of the clubs exploring ways to sign the Chelsea number twelve in the January transfer window, and he has demanded a three-year contract.
Now Sky Sports is reporting that Hebei China Fortune are ready to offer Messi a five-year contract with a salary of 100 million euros per season after taxes.
While Mikel comes off contract with Chelsea next summer, Messi will bid farewell to Barcelona a year later if he doesn’t extend his current deal.
Hebei China Fortune already have in their ranks some well known players including Gael Kakuta, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Stéphane Mbia and Gervinho.
