According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com, the protesting Super Falcons players are in a joyous mood following the donation of N3.5 million in total by two Turkish-based Super Eagles stars and the Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Seyi Akinwunmi.
Trabzonspor midfielder Eddy Onazi donated N1 million to the team on Monday, December 12, Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo, who is very close to a couple of Super Falcons stars including Arsenal’s Asisat Oshoala, parted with N2 million which cleared on Thursday.
In truth, the Nigeria Football Federation have shown compassion towards the players but their hands are tied due to paucity of funds. Nonetheless, Seyi Akinwunmi donated N500,000 to the team in his personal capacity.
The Federal Government has released the African champions outstanding bonuses and allowances to the NFF, who have started processing the payments including the Super Eagles.
The coaches left the Agura Hotel , Abuja last week, and the NFF have instructed the remaining officials to leave the hotel on Saturday.
The Super Falcons have vowed not to step out of the hotel until they get all their outstanding benefits.
