Sam Adewusi Stars As Carlisle United Advance To FAYC Fourth Round

Talented Nigerian teenager Sam Adewusi came off the bench to help Carlisle United advance to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup following their hard fought 1-0 win against Barnsley at Oakwell on Friday night.
On 63 minutes, the midfielder replaced Salkeld with the scoreboard reading 1-0 in favour of the visitors.
Less than ten minutes after his introduction, Adewusi had a chance to double his team’s advantage but ballooned a shot over the bar from 30 yards.
He started the first round tie versus FC United but was not considered for selection in the next round against Ify Ofoegbu’s Chesterfield.
Carlisle United travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City in the next round.
