Iwobi Sends Message To Chelsea, Man City : Arsenal Will Fight Until The end
Published: December 19, 2016
Alex Iwobi is optimistic that Arsenal can still close the gap on runaway leaders Chelsea if they replicate their form earlier in the season.
The Nigeria international impressed in the first half of the 2-1 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening, going past Pablo Zabaleta with ease, so much so that the Argentine had to be replaced, although reports later surfaced that the defender suffered suspected ligament damage in his left knee.
“Yeah, we’re gonna keep on going, fight until the end and see where we go. We’ll just have to continue how we were playing at the start of the season, ” Iwobi told arsenal.com.
“We just have to get that back and kick on now and prepare well for the next game.”
After 17 rounds of matches in the English Premier League, Chelsea lead the way with 43 points, nine more than Arsenal who occupy fourth position.
