Italy international Stefano Okaka is the youngest player of Nigerian descent to play in the Serie A, having made his debut for Roma at the age of 16 years 4 months 9 days.
Former AC Milan wonderkid Aliyu Mohammed Datti is the youngest Nigerian-born player to feature in the Serie A.
The ex-Golden Eaglets star stepped out onto the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara turf in the 77th minute of Milan’s 3-2 win at Bologna aged 16 years 10 months 10 days.
Christian Obodo is third in the ranking and played his first match for Perugia aged 17 years 11 months 24 days , followed by Obafemi Martins (Inter Milan) and Ibrahim Babatunde (Piacenza Calcio).
