Ighalo Four Games Away From Reaching Watford Milestone
Published: December 26, 2016
Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo is set to add to his appearances for Watford as he has been named in the starting eleven for their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at The Vic on Boxing Day.
Former Flying Eagles star Isaac Success and Italy international of Nigerian descent Stefano Okaka will definitely not be involved against the Eagles, with both failing to make the 18-man squad.
As for Crystal Palace, no Nigerian player made the squad list.
Ex-Nigeria U20 invitee Freddie Ladapo will remain on loan at Oldham Athletic until the start of the January transfer window, while Jason Akiotu is not a first-teamer.
Ighalo is now four games away from reaching a 100-game milestone for the Hornets in all competitions.
Watford Starting XI: Gomes (GK) (c); Kaboul, Prödl, Britos, Holebas; Capoue, Behrami, Guedioura; Amrabat, Ighalo, Janmaat.
Substitutes : Pantilimon (GK), Deeney, Cathcart, Doucouré, Zúñiga, Sinclair, Kabasele.
