Ex-Nigeria Manager Recognized As The Second Best Coach In The World - IFFHS

Former Super Eagles coach Lars Lagerbäck has been named the second best National Team coach in the world by the statisticians at International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
The Swede ranked second in the list, behind head coach of Portugal Fernando Santos, who with the team won the 2016 European Championship.
Lagerbäck garnered 71 points while Santos accumulated 199 points and Joachim Löw with 62 points came third.
In a deal brokered by Lukman Haruna’s agent, Greg Keenan, the 68-year-old coached Nigeria for seven games, including the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, had an unbeaten percentage of 71.43% and a win percentage of 28.57%.
Lagerbäck was joint manager of the Icelandic squad at Euro 2016.
