Published: December 31, 2016
Bristol City lost 2-1 to Ipswich Town on game week 24 in the EFL Championship on Friday, December 30.
The home team took the lead in the 39th minute, scoring through Kevin Bru, and the visitors did not respond until six minutes out of intermission through Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham.
The Nigeria target calmly finished from close range and tallied his 15th goal of the season across all competitions.
On 73 minutes, Abraham had a chance to give Bristol City the lead but fired the ball over the bar, and that miss proved costly in the end after Brett Pitman netted the winner with three minutes left on the clock.
The 19-year-old played the entirety of the game at Portman Road.
