Eberechi Eze Close To Joining Queens Park Rangers First Team
Published: December 31, 2016
Promising British-born Nigerian talent Eberechi Eze is inching closer to his competitive debut for Queens Park Rangers after making their 18-man squad for Saturday’s Championship game versus Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The attacking midfielder was drafted into the match day squad after a string of imperious displays for the Elite Development squad of the London team, with the highlight of his performance being his hat-trick against Crystal Palace in September 2016.
Eze was a non-playing substitute against Wolves alongside teammate and Republic of Ireland U21 international of Nigerian descent Olamide Shodipo, who was promoted to the first team at the start of this season.
The teenager spent two years with the academy team of Millwall before joining QPR on a one-year deal in August.
Everything is pointing to the fact that he will be offered a new deal in the coming months.
