Why Ighalo Finally Made Watford Starting XI After He Was Initially Omitted
Published: January 01, 2017
Odion Ighalo was included in Watford’s starting line-up against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon at the last minute before the start of the Premier League clash.
Initially named on the bench, the Nigeria international replaced Juan Camilo Zuniga in the line-up after the Colombian wing-back injured his ankle in the warm-up session.
The game against Spurs is the 97th time Ighalo has put on a Hornets jersey in a competitive fixture and he has contributed to 50 goals ( 40 goals and 10 assists) in those appearances.
While Isaac Success and Stefano Okaka have not been selected by manager Walter Mazzarri, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli starts at The Vic.
