Published: January 08, 2017
Ovie Ejaria, 19, will make his first-ever appearance in the Emirates FA Cup with Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp naming him in the starting XI to face Plymouth Argyle in the third round.
England youth international Sheyi Ojo is making a return to first team action after starring for the Development Squad following his return from injury.
Speaking ahead of the tie at Anfield, Ejaria told Liverpool official website : “You’ve just got to match them in the ugly side of the game, really, and then hope that the technical side of the game will eventually show and help us win the game.
“But we know it’s not going to be easy, it’s a massive competition, so I’m just hoping I can get an opportunity to play really.”
A product of Arsenal, Ejaria has recorded three starts in Cup competitions this season, having started against Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United in the League Cup.
