Two Nigerian Prospects Help Manchester United Secure Win At Liverpool
Published: January 17, 2017Two talented Nigerian teenagers in the shape of Tosin Kehinde and Matthew Olosunde helped Manchester United U23s to register a 1-0 over Liverpool in a Premier League 2 match at Anfield on Monday.
Midfielder Kehinde came on in the 85th minute, while United States youth-teamer Olosunde was introduced nine minutes out of intermission.
As for the Reds, Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo were not involved fueling speculation that they may be considered for the FA Cup Third round replay against Plymouth on Wednesday, January 18.
The game appeared to be heading for a draw until Matty Willock headed home in the third minute of stoppage time.
Tosin Kehinde and Olosunde are yet to make their first team debut for Manchester United.
