Highest Paid Nigerian Player Fires Hat-Trick For Chinese Club

Nigeria international Obafemi Martins bagged a hat-trick in Shanghai Shenhua’s 5-0 rout of YSCC Yokohama in a pre-season friendly on Thursday, January 18.
Zhu Jianrong and Mao Jianqing each scored a goal for Shanghai Shenhua, who are preparing for their first competitive game of 2017, an Asian Champions League tie in February.
After a slow start to his career in China, Martins ended the 2016 season with 15 goals ( 4 assists) and was rewarded with a new deal on the back of those performances.
The former Inter Milan and Newcastle United striker is the highest paid Nigerian professional player, with wages of nine million dollars per season.
