Published: February 10, 2017
Manchester City are targeting a summer swoop for Austria national-teamer of Nigerian ancestry David Alaba.
According to the electronic edition of The Sun, the Citizens coach Pep Guardiola is hoping Bayern Munich will agree to do business if a fee of 40 million pounds is paid.
The Spanish manager has tutored Alaba before, during the three years he spent at the German champions, so it would be a reunion of sorts if the transfer of the defender materializes.
The highly-rated wing-back has been linked with possible moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona in the past.
Alaba is under contract at Bayern Munich until the summer of 2021.
