Onyekuru Nets Last-Minute Winner Eight Days After Apologizing To Eupen For Transfer Mess

Henry Onyekuru is back on the goal trail after scoring his first goal of 2017 in Eupen’s 1-0 win over Gent in a Belgian First Division clash at GHELAMCO-arena on Saturday.
With Celtic plotting a move for the exciting teenager in the January transfer window, the striker went AWOL to try and push through a move from Eupen before the close of the window.
The 19-year-old Onyekuru was allowed to return to the training ground on Friday, February 3, after apologizing to the club, coaches and teammates.
The game against Gent was heading for a draw until Onyekuru stepped up to score the winner in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
Samuel Kalu, Anderson Esiti, Moses Simon were the other Nigerian players on parade at GHELAMCO-arena.
