Ndidi Shoot On Sight Policy Fails As Leicester Suffer Another Demoralizing Defeat
Published: February 12, 2017
The Foxes were defeated 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium thanks to first-half goals from Mawson and Martin Olsson.
Leicester City’s January signing Wilfred Ndidi returned to the starting lineup, while manager Ranieri decided to leave Super Eagles teammate Ahmed Musa on the bench for the entire duration despite the fact his team were chasing the game.
With the champions finding it hard to break down the opponents in the second half, Ndidi had to take the bull by the horns.
The Nigeria international’s left foot volley went high and wide on 64 minutes and the defensive midfielder had another wide effort nine minutes later.
Leicester City are one point above the relegation places with 13 matches yet to be decided in the Premier League.
