In-form Everton midfielder of Nigerian ancestry Ross Barkley impressed as the Toffees thrashed Chinedu Obasi’s Shenzhen FC in a test game staged in Dubai on Friday.
A brace from Valencia, goals from Barkley and Kone secured a comprehensive win for Ronald Koeman’s side.
The Toffees have been in Dubai for the past four days undergoing warm weather training ahead of their next domestic fixture against Sunderland on February 25.
England U20 international Ademola Lookman was in the traveling party to the Middle East and will get to know his new teammates better during the get-together.
The Liverpool-based side are expected to depart Dubai on Sunday, February 18.
