Akinfenwa, Delfouneso On Target For Wycombe, Blackpool In League Two
Published: February 19, 2017
Two players of Nigerian descent registered their names on the scoresheet in the English League Two on Saturday, but could not help their clubs record wins.
Ex-Aston Villa wonderkid Nathan Delfouneso opened the scoring after eight minutes in Blackpool’s 2-2 draw with Crewe Alexandra at Bloomfield Road.
The 26-year-old has been encouraging since his return to the Seasiders in the January transfer window, with 3 goals in 6 league matches.
It took Adebayo Akinfenwa only two minutes to break the deadlock as Wycombe Wanderers lost 2-1 to Carlisle United at Adams Park.
The physical striker has netted 13 goals across all competitions this season, including seven in the league.
