Norwich City Join Reading In Race For Arsenal Nigerian Wonderkid
Published: March 01, 2017
Reading face competition for the services of Arsenal’s Nigerian wonderkid Nathan Tella, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
Norwich City are hoping to beat the Royals to the signature of the exciting winger and he trained with the Canaries late last month with a view to a transfer in the summer.
Tella capped off a fine performance for Norwich City in their 3-0 rout of Reading in the Under 18 Premier League on February 18, when he hit target in the 24th minute.
The 17-year-old has been permitted to try his luck at other clubs before the end of the season, as he has been told by the Gunners hierarchy that he won’t be offered a new contract.
Tella first turned out for the Under 8 team of Arsenal before rising through the ranks and debuting for the U18 squad.
