Chelsea Boss Reveals Moses Was Poor Defensively Before Formation Change

Antonio Conte has admitted that Victor Moses was a poor defensive player before he was converted to a wing-back when he had to change his formation in the wake of the 3-0 loss to Arsenal.
Moses has flourished in his new position under the Italian manager, with the Nigeria international starting the last 20 games contested by the Blues in the Premier League.
“I knew of him, but to see him live is very important to judge a player, ” said Antonio Conte.
“I always saw him as a winger, very good in one versus one, but a bit poor defensively.
“Then, when I decided to change the system, I wanted to try him in this new role. Now we have a complete player.”
Last week , the former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic star was rewarded with a new contract which will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2021.
