Arsenal Loanee Akpom Available For Promotion Candidates Brighton & Hove Albion
Published: March 09, 2017
Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has provided an important update on the fitness of England youth international Chuba Akpom.
The Arsenal loanee will at least make the provisional squad against Derby County, having missed two games in a row against Nottingham Forest and Rotherham United following a knee complaint.
“Chuba [Akpom] is training this morning and will certainly be in the squad. We have a 20, 21-man squad and he’ll be involved in that, ” said Chris Hughton.
Akpom, 21, has played only seven first-team games this season, whereas he made 41 appearances in total whilst on loan at Hull City during the 2015-2016 season.
