Iheanacho In Manchester City Provisional Squad To Face Monaco
Published: March 14, 2017Kelechi Iheanacho could figure for Manchester City in their eagerly anticipated Champions League Round of 16, Game 2 tie against Monaco at Stade Louis II on Wednesday night.
The Taye Academy product first trained with the Citizens squad this morning before hopping on a plane bound for the Principality of Monaco.
Per the official website of UEFA, City have registered Iheanacho on their player list B alongside Tosin Adarabioyo, but the young central defender is unlikely to feature having played against Arsenal in Premier League 2 on Monday.
If the Super Eagles rising star is given a run out by manager Pep Guardiola, it would be his fourth appearance in the Champions League this season, including the qualifying rounds.
Manchester City won the first leg at the Etihad 5-3 with Iheanacho watching proceedings from the bench.
