Top Goalscoring Teenager In England Abraham Hits 19th Goal For Bristol City
Published: March 17, 2017
Bristol City have climbed three places to nineteenth on the Championship table after a 4-0 hammering of promotion-chasing Huddersfield Town at Ashton Gate on Friday night.
In the 13th minute of first-half stoppage time, Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham doubled Bristol City’s advantage after steering home a low cross from Cotterill.
Three minutes after the restart, the England U21 international almost notched an assist but teammate O’Dowda saw his header come back off the crossbar.
Just after the hour mark, the lanky striker required treatment on the pitch after challenging for an aerial ball but it turned out it was just an injury scare, and he continued playing until the 86th minute when he was substituted.
With 19 goals for Bristol City in the league, Tammy Abraham is the top goalscoring teenager in England’s top four divisions this season.
In the coming days, the Nigeria target will link up with the England U21 squad for international friendlies against Germany and Denmark.
