Official : Djurgardens Announce Signing Of Long-Term Target Haruna Garba
Published: March 25, 2017
Swedish Allsvenskan outfit Djurgårdens IF have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Haruna Garba following a successful trial.
If all goes well, the 23-year-old will remain with The Blue Stripes until the end of the 2019 season, having put pen to paper on a three-year deal.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Garba had been on the radar of Djurgårdens IF before his capture, and the club previously scouted him while he was playing in Malta before he moved to Dubai CSC, United Arab Emirates.
He is playing with the number 99 kit now but could eventually be assigned the number 19 shirt as the player with that kit number is expected to be farmed out on loan.
The deal that took Haruna Garba to DIF was brokered by Italian-based Nigerian agent Ben Itorho in partnership with retired Nigeria international Prince Ikpe Ekong.
