Rohr Confirms Talks With Chelsea Whizkid Over Pledging Future To Nigeria Ahead Of England
Published: March 25, 2017
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed that he has held talks with Chelsea wonderkid Ola Aina regarding his international future.
As exclusively reported by allnigeriasoccer.com, the right fullback visited the Super Eagles Crowne Plaza Hotel camp in London shortly before the friendly against Senegal on Thursday, alongside his father, for discussions with the German.
“It is normal to have this situation, when we have very good player [like Ola Aina] who can pick two teams. We always leave the door open to young talent,” said Rohr according to goal.com.
While the Nigerian Federation and Rohr are keen on the ex-England U20 international, the defender has not yet made a decision whether or not he should dump England, where he was born and raised.
The 20-year-old Aina has recorded five first-team appearances for Chelsea this season.
