Super Eagles Midfielder Obi Set For Spell On The Sidelines
Published: March 29, 2017
Nigeria international Joel Obi could be set for another spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury during training with the Torino first team on Tuesday.
Though Torino medics have not determined the extent of his latest injury, it has been speculated that the attacking midfielder has suffered a recurrence of the muscle problem in his left thigh .
The muscle injury made Joel Obi miss the last five games in the Italian Serie A, including the tie with his former team Inter Milan before the international break.
The 25-year-old has not played consistently for The Maroons since his arrival from Inter Milan in the summer of 2015 because of muscular problems.
Obi has logged 800 minutes of game time in all competitions this season, providing two assists.
