Wilfred Ndidi Coy On Leicester City Chances Of Beating Atletico In Madrid
Published: April 12, 2017
Wilfred Ndidi was diplomatic when asked about the chances of Premier League champions Leicester City beating Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Quarter-final, Game 1 on Wednesday night.
The Foxes strengthened their midfield after splashing the cash to sign the Nigeria international from Racing Genk in the January transfer window and he has caught the eye with several exciting displays since his debut.
''We try to approach every game as it comes, we don't look forward to putting the games on our minds and try to be nervous about it, '' Ndidi told Channels TV Sports.
''We try to do our best and see what will come out of it. I really don't know (if Leicester City will beat Atletico Madrid).''
Today's clash at the Vicente Calderon is a battle of two counterattacking setups, with neither side overly comfortable with dominating possession, but leading sports betting website Free Bets reckon that Atletico Madrid have the edge because of their European experience.
Ndidi, 20, assisted Leicester City qualify for the quarterfinals, playing both legs of the round of 16 tie against another strong Spanish opponents Sevilla.
