Chelsea's Nigerian Goal Machine Scores 23rd Goal Of The Season Against Barnsley
Published: April 22, 2017
English-born Nigerian wonderkid Tammy Abraham was on target as Bristol City came from behind to beat Barnsley 3-2 at Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon.
The England U21 international restored parity to 1-1 seven minutes into the second half with one of his trademark goals, stabbing home from close range after Taylor's shot broke his way.
Three minutes after netting his 23rd Championship goal, the tall striker would have added to his tally but fired his effort onto the crossbar.
The Chelsea loanee came close again in the 82nd minute, his snap shot at goal drifted just wide of the upright.
Two games before the end of the regular season, only Leeds United marksman Chris Wood, with 25 goals, has netted more goals than Tammy Abraham in the English second-tier.
The 19-year-old is being monitored by Leicester City and Everton ahead of the opening of the transfer window.
