Tottenham Overtake Arsenal In Race For Nigerian-Born Winger, Hailed As The New Wilfried Zaha
Published: April 25, 2017
Tottenham Hotspur have overtaken North London rivals Arsenal in the race for the signature of Blackpool's teenage sensation Bright Osayi-Samuel.
The Sun says the White Hart Lane outfit are preparing an undisclosed bid for the Nigerian-born winger, who has been likened to Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha.
Everton and Aston Villa are both keen on signing Osayi-Samuel, having scouted him this season.
The 19-year-old comes off contract with the Seasiders in June, but it is envisaged that they will activate a clause in his contract to extend his stay for an additional year.
He has netted 5 goals from 39 appearances in all competitions for the first team of Blackpool this term.
