Liverpool Loanee Awoniyi Scores In Second Consecutive Match

Liverpool loanee Taiwo Awoniyi scored for the second consecutive game as NEC Nijmegen beat SC Heerenveen 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Nigeria U23 international came off the bench in the 55th minute before scoring his second goal in as many matches.
In the 65th minute Ali Messaoud swung in a corner from the right, Dario Dumic headed the ball to Awoniyi, who scored with a header inside the six-yard box.
Despite their second win on the bounce, NEC Nijmegen finished the season in 16th place and will have to avoid relegation to the second-tier through the playoffs.
Awoniyi made his 18th league appearance against SC Heerenveen. His loan deal expires at the end of this season.
