Manchester United Coach Mourinho Runs The Rule Over Two Nigerian Wonderkids
Published: May 15, 2017
Manchester United U23s ended the season in sixth place following their 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League 2 encounter at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Two very promising Nigerian teenagers Matthew Olosunde and Tosin Kehinde put in an impressive full shift for the Red Devils.
Olosunde, who traveled with the first team to London two days ago, provided an assist for the opening goal scored by Harrop, but the visitors struck twice early in the second half to take a 2-1 lead.
Manchester United got their equalizer in the 79th minute before Harrop netted a late winner to secure the three points for Nicky Butt's side.
José Mourinho and his assistant manager Rui Faria were at the Stadium to observe the outstanding young talents in the U23 team ahead of the start of pre-season training.
With both Nigerians in action tonight and for the entirety of the game, it is all but confirmed that they will not be involved when the first team travel to the South Coast to face Southampton on Wednesday.
