Nigerian Prodigy Tosin Kehinde Wows Man Utd Boss Mourinho Against Older Opponents
Published: May 16, 2017
Nigerian prodigy Tosin Kehinde managed to convince Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho when the Portuguese observed him at close quarters on Monday night in a Premier League 2 fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.
According to an onlooker at Old Trafford and Manchester United youth team expert, the 18-year-old midfielder showed flashes of his brilliance even though he was playing against older opponents.
''Not actually a brilliant performance from United despite a great result, more individual from Harrop,'' he said to allnigeriasoccer.com after the game.
''On Kehinde, though, was his usual self. Only 18 and did well against some older players, a real positive in this side.
''Everyone played better after Hamilton and Dearnley came on, including Tosin as United had more rhythm.''
Blessed with quick feet and vision, Kehinde made his debut for Manchester United reserves against Wolves at the age of 16.
