Exclusive: Austria Vienna Hitman Kayode Suffers Injury Scare During Super Eagles Training
Published: June 08, 2017
Austria Vienna frontman Kayode Olanrewaju suffered an injury scare during the Super Eagles last training session on Wednesday.
But the good news is that the in-form striker is available for selection in the African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa as he completed the training session yesterday.
''It happened when the players were involved in the passing drill, it was not something serious and he was up and running during the practice game,'' a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''He had to be treated for about three minutes on the sidelines by the medical guy, who gave him the go-ahead to continue.''
Kayode, a former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles player, made his debut for the senior national team against Senegal in March, before earning his second cap against Togo a week ago.
