Chelsea's Abraham Named As One Of England Key Players Ahead Of Poland Game
Published: June 22, 2017
Highly respected Sky Sports journalist Daniel Mann has previewed the clash between England and Poland at the European U21 Championship on Thursday night for Polish sports daily Przegląd Sportowy.
And he has advised that Poland defenders will have to deal with the prolific Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
Although the 19-year-old is yet to open his goalscoring account in Poland, he has been one of the most impressive players on the England team.
''Tammy Abraham against Slovakia showed strength in the match with two great chances. Besides, he is a great weapon for counterattacks,'' Mann said.
''Jordan Pickford in the future will certainly be a big goalkeeper. If he impresses at Everton next season, this chance can come very quickly.
''The key player in the field is James Ward-Prowse. He is very good at making solid plays, he is the leader of this team.''
Abraham has been linked with Swansea City, Newcastle United, Brighton, Leicester City and Everton this summer, but the Welsh team are in pole position for his signature.
