How Chelsea Goal Machine Of Nigerian Descent Reacted To England U21 EURO Exit
Published: June 29, 2017
The prolific Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was disappointed after England lost to Germany in the semifinal of the European U21 Championship on Tuesday.
With the tie at the Stadion Miejski, Tychy locked at 2-2 after extra-time, the Young Lions were unlucky in the shootout with Abraham and Redmond unsuccessful in their spot kicks.
The 19-year-old netted a trademark goal from close range in the 50th minute to put England 2-1 up and open his goalscoring account in the competition.
''Disappointing way to go out the euros but super proud of the boys, what a team ❤️thank you Lord for a great first season 🙏🏾#eng21s,'' tweeted Tammy Abraham.
The 2017 U21 EURO was Abraham's second major tournament for the Young Lions, having starred at the European U19 Championship last summer.
