Chelsea Academy Poster Boy Ugbo Reacts As Premier League Champs Unveil New Kits
Published: July 02, 2017
England youth international of Nigerian descent Ike Ugbo is delighted with Chelsea's new kit that has been released for the 2017-2018 campaign.
The Premier League champions recently unveiled their new Nike home and away kits, having terminated their agreement with Adidas, with Fifa 18 star Alex Hunter assisting the club to promote the eye-catching kits.
Ugbo took to social media to express his happiness about the kits, tweeting : ''@ChelseaFC @nikefootball #WeAreThePride 🔥 ''.
Born in London 18 years ago, Ugbo started his Chelsea career with the U10 side and rose up through the ranks before making his debut for the U23 squad during the 2014-15 season.
The striker, who is regarded as one of the poster boys of Chelsea Academy, has scored over 60 goals for the U18-U23 squad in the last three seasons.
First team manager Antonio Conte rates Ike Ugbo highly and the Italian watched him score a stunner against Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup final back in April.
