Committed Everton World Cup Winning Striker, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal Target Resume Training
Published: July 04, 2017
England star of Nigerian descent Ross Barkley is back for pre-season training with Everton , amid speculations linking him with a departure from the club before the close of the transfer window.
The attacking midfielder was not involved in international duty with the Three Lions this summer, and was one of the players observed by fitness coach Jan Kluitenberg at USM Finch Farm on Monday.
Barkley has fallen out of favour with manager Ronald Koeman after refusing to put pen to paper on a new long-term contract, and the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham are reportedly monitoring his situation.
Ademola Lookman proved he's fully committed to the Toffees cause after reporting for training on Monday.
The former Charlton Athletic wonderkid didn't need to be back at USM Finch Farm because of his involvement with England U20s last month, and was due to return to training on Thursday, July 6 along with four of his Young Lions teammates.
New recruit Henry Onyekuru has been shipped out on a season-long loan to RSC Anderlecht, and will not train with Everton first team until next July.
