Nigerian Messi, England U20 Stars, Awoniyi Will Not Train With Liverpool First Team On Wednesday
Published: July 04, 2017Liverpool have confirmed via their official webpage that England U20 stars of Nigerian descent Ovie Ejaria, Sheyo Ojo and new signing Dominic Solanke will not train with the first team at the start of pre-season on Wednesday, July 5.
Twenty-two players will report back for duties tomorrow and the three youngsters who helped England clinch their maiden Fifa U20 World Cup have not been listed by The Reds.
They have been handed an extended break due to international commitments with the Young Lions.
Nigeria U23 international Taiwo Awoniyi requires a work permit to begin his career with Liverpool, and will not train with the first team at Melwood in the absence of the document.
It is now confirmed that Netherlands youth international Bobby Adekanye, dubbed the Nigerian Messi in these parts, will not be involved with the main squad, based on the release by Liverpool.
