Highly-Rated Teens Dele-Bashiru, Jos-Born Kigbu Resume Training At Manchester City
Published: July 05, 2017
Jos-born England U18 international Ashinme Kigbu and the highly-rated midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru have both reported back for pre-season training at Manchester City.
The first-team are yet to begin their preparations for the new season, but the Academy have already hit the ground running, and Dele-Bashiru has posted on social media a picture of the young stars training.
City manager Pep Guardiola is expected to draft in some of these promising youngsters to the first team squad ahead of the club's tour of the United States and it remains to be seen if the duo will be selected.
Tom Dele-Bashiru whose younger brother Fisayo is also on the books of City, appeared 27 times for the 18s last season, scoring seven goals, including three in his last three games in the U18 Premier League.
Kigbu's appearances were limited last season, with the central defender making only five starts for the U18s in the league.
