Super Eagles Defender Omeruo Training With Chelsea Reserves Ahead Of Summer Move
Published: July 06, 2017
Kenneth Omeruo has resumed pre-season training with Chelsea amid speculations surrounding his future at the Premier League champions.
The central defender appears in good spirits and took to social media to inform his 158,331 followers that he trained at the Cobham Training Centre on Thursday.
Omeruo posted on Instagram, with an accompanying picture taken with former England U19 goalkeeper Jamal Blackman : ''Back to training.. with my bro @jblacks27 #preseason #chelseafc''
Indeed, the Super Eagle shares a close bond with Jamal Blackman as both players spent the first half of the 2014-15 season on loan at Championship outfit Middlesbrough.
Chelsea first-teamers will not report for training until Monday, July 10, so it is assumed that Omeruo trained with the club's reserve team.
The former Sunshine Stars defender is a target for Turkish clubs Göztepe S.K, Sivasspor and Yeni Malatyaspor in the summer transfer window.
