England World Cup-Winning Star Of Nigerian Descent Opts To Retain Kit Number
Published: July 12, 2017
Premier League club Everton have officially announced their squad numbers ahead of the forthcoming season and their first-preason game in Africa.
England U20 star Ademola Lookman will be appearing for the Toffees in the number 31 kit, same number he wore in the second half of last season after transferring from Charlton Athletic.
During the 2015-16 season, the 19-year-old wore the number 37 kit at the Addicks before he took the number 7 the following season.
Despite speculations linking Ross Barkley with a departure from Goodison Park, the attacking midfielder has been handed the number eight jersey, pending his exit from the club.
Lookman and Barkley have started pre-season training with Everton, but the Three Lions star was not included in their squad list for the trip to Tanzania.
