Former Arsenal Target Iheanacho Could Make Leicester Debut Against The Gunners
Published: August 02, 2017
Kelechi Iheanacho's transfer to Leicester City is almost in the bag, with the striker undergoing a medical with The Foxes on Tuesday.
According to Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare, the Nigeria international is in line to make his competitive debut for his new employers when they face Arsenal in the Premier League on August 11.
''I’m hoping he will be available for the game at Arsenal, but I am like every other manager at the moment,'' said Shakespeare
''I think we all find it frustrating but it is the current market.''
Iheanacho could play his first game for Leicester City in their pre-season fixture against Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday.
The 20-year-old was heavily courted by Arsenal after he sparkled at the 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup, but he chose to join Manchester City instead of the Gunners.
