Fifa Confirms AllNigeriaSoccer Report : Nigeria Make Progress In Rankings, Brazil Back On Top

Football governing body, Fifa, on Thursday morning confirmed a story first reported by allnigeriasoccer.com earlier in the week regarding its latest rankings of National Teams.
Compared to their position the previous month, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have climbed one place, and now occupy the 38th position, while they are sixth in the continental ranking.
Egypt, Congo DR, Senegal, Tunisia and Cameroon are the best five teams in Africa in that order.
Our other two rivals to book a ticket to the 2018 World Cup - Algeria and Zambia - sit in the 48th and 96th place respectively in the updated rankings.
Our main African Nations Cup qualifying foes South Africa and Libya occupy the 66th and 83rd position in the global ranking while the last opponent Seychelles are ranked 194th.
Brazil, Germany and Argentina are the top three teams in the world, followed by Switzerland and Poland.
The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com, on 14 September 2017.
