Arsenal beat Leicester City 4-3 on the opening day of the new Premier League season in an entertaining clash at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night.
Ninety-four seconds into his Premier League debut, Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring with a fantastic header off an assist from Mohamed Elneny.
The lead lasted only three minutes, Arsenal failed to deal with a cross coming in and Shinji Okazaki headed home for the equalizer, before Jamie Vardy tapped in to put Leicester City 2-1 up in the 29th minute.
The home team equalized right on the cusp of halftime thanks to Danny Welbeck, who scored from close range.
In the 56th minute, Jamie Vardy netted his second of the game and restored Leicester City's advantage.
Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud scored Arsenal's third and fourth goal in the 83rd and 85th minute respectively after coming off the bench around the midway point of the second half.
Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench in the 82nd minute for his Leicester City debut, Arsenal number 17 Alex Iwobi was a non-playing substitute and Wilfred Ndidi put in a full shift.
